Wells Fargo Bank OVER DRAFT FEE SCAM Plano, Texas
My husband opened an account with Wells Fargo a while ago. I recently opened up an account with the same bank. However, before I had a bank account, I would put my paychecks in my husbands account.
I have been putting checks in there for quite a while. I would say about 9 to 10 checks without any problems.Keep in mind, my name is not on his account, nor is his name ever on my checks.
On Feb. 18th, 2011, I once again put my check into his account and we checked the account online to make sure it had cleared. When we concluded that it did indeed clear. We began paying bills, and spending money.
Three days later, we were getting hit with overdraft fees for some reason. When we went back to check the account to see what was wrong, and it turns out that they took the check back out because his name was not on the check, and my name was not on his account.
We got hit with about 11 overdraft fees. Totaling about 400 dollars. Then when we could not get the fees reversed, more fees started adding on as time went on. My husband gets direct deposit and his whole paycheck and half of the next one was taken to cover the over draft charges.
It has been about a month now and I have done everything I can do to try to reverse these fees so that we can pay our rent, which was due on the first. We are so behind on bills now, I don't think we could ever catch up.

Ronny g,
The OP didn't answer my question so we don't know about the endorsement and the bank haters tend to withold the true story of their account history.

...while I agree this report somewhat suspect...if endorsement was a problem why would the bank not only accept the check, but then clear it? Unless the teller was instructed they are not required to go through the grueling process of flipping the check over to make sure it was endorsed before accepting and clearing?

Did your husband endorse the check under your endorsement?

according to a video that's available on the web.
You can 'Google' this- WHO OWNS THE FED BANK, WHO CONTROLS WHO VIDEO, and watch it on the web and decide for yourself.
Then 'Google' this- WELLS FARGO COMPLAINTS SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, and read that article on the web.
Don't forget to 'Google' this- BANK EXECUTIVES PROFITING ON THE DEATH OF EMPLOYEES, and read the article that says Wells Fargo bank has $17 Billion in secret life insurance policies on its employees.
Make sure to 'Google' this- WACHOVIA BANK AND WELLS FARGO: DRUG LAUNDERMATS TO THE WORLD, and read all of the related articles on the web.
Finally, 'Google' this- WHO CONTROLS THE UNITED STATES ECONOMY BY MAJORITY 2010, and watch that video on the web. The CEO of Wells Fargo appears at around 3 minutes 32 seconds into that video.
Good luck to you!
P.S. It might be a good idea for you and your husband to close your accounts with Wells Fargo, and open accounts with a locally owned & operated credit union in your home town.
