We were only one month behind and decided we should modifiy our loan with Wells Fargo. Because of financial stresses we were unable to catch up that one month and was continuosly late for about three or four months. Contacted Wells Fargo did the paperwork twice as they lost the first ones. Then told us to not make any payments while modification was being processed. We kept calling and told they were processing. Two months later get papers from WF that we had to pay 1300 each month instead of 1382 per month (our normal payment). Then in September when we make that last 1300 payment they will revisit at our request the modification. What kind of help is this. We cannot refinance because of the value of our home has dropped and we do not want to lose our home of 15 years. My wife works at home and is ill and unable to work outside of our home. We cannot pay our debts. We did this to ourselves, but feel that WF did not do much to help us and should have just left it at being late every month.
