I arranged financing for the home I was purchasing with Mary Catherine McBride of Wells Fargo Home Mortgage. I signed with these people because of a program they offer known as a "Mortgage Modification". I paid $250 for this service. Briefly-I was buying a different home but wanted to pay down my mortgage once my old house sold.
This Mortgage Modification Program would have been perfect save for the fact that Wells Fargo Home Mortgage had changed the rules of the program in the summer of 2003 but Mrs. McBride was never informed (that is her delusion). That is according to Mrs. McBride and David Hulet/Executive Communications Coordinator for WFHM's corporate HQ's in Iowa.

He was responding to a complaint I lodged with the Pinellas County (FL) Consumer Protection Agency. Everything the man put in his letter (along with a refund of my $250.00) was fantasy.

When I initially contacted WFHM HQ's they responded with "righteous indignation" and stated they were contacting Ms. McBride's superior to ensure she discontinued her practice of lying to the customers about a program that was itself modified nearly a year earlier.

They are so tough at Wells Fargo Home Mortgage (WFHM) that they promoted Ms. McBride to office manager for her misdeeds!

People do not use Wells Fargo unless you want inferior service and people lying right to your face. Anyone else in the Sunshine State who has been "misguided" by Wells Fargo Home Mortgage please lodge a complaint with your county, and the state. Perhaps if there are enough of us an attorney will file a class action suit against these LIARS and THIEVES.

Fortunately I had the funds to pay off my mortgage and get away from those thieves. I wish anyone else doing business with these people luck.
