This is a Warning to anyone who is interested in doing business with Wells Fargo Home Mortgage 9355 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 250 Beverly Hills,CA 90210 (yeah,Beverly Hills !)  We applied for a loan to buy a house. We complied with everything and anything they asked us for, even if we needed to leave our work aside, and provide them with countless and numerous pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns for 2 years prior, the list goes on.

This went on for months. We originally got approved for an amount by Robet Hertel, confirmed three times with him, he said " go ahead and look for the house, you ARE pre qualified" and we have that in writing in more than one letters, emails etc. Fast forward, we found the house, our offer got accepted(after a year of searching for a house) we went into Escrow, we payed the Inspection guy, we payed the bank asessment, we payed everything that needed to be payed, the last day we get a phone call from a second loan officer which I will not name, (Robert just transfers the job to this guy) and says that if we don't come up with $78,000 from our own pocket for the down payment, we will be denied the loan. Of course we didn't have that much, even though we were honest with them from the beginning of what our down payment will be, it didn't matter, they kept raising the down payment from $21K to $27K to $70K to $78K.

In the end, we lost the opportunity to own that house, we NEVER got an explanation from Robert Hertel, he kept avoiding our calls, we got in contact with the supervisor, he said he'll look into it, but NEVER returned our calls, we searched for the branch manager, who was away on vacation, and said "I'm away on vacation, call the other supervisor." We called the Executive Complaints Department, and Ashley answered the call, and she said whoever gave you this number shouldn't have. Then after I told her about our whole problem she went on to say, "oh, that's not a big problem, you just don't qualify" and never transferred the call to the proper person so we can tell them, and THEN she hung up on us.When I called back, the message said our offices are closed (it's Eastern time). I left a message and our number so they can call us back, no one called us back.

There are so many complaints on the internet about Wells Fargo, that I wished I had done that search from the beginning, but I had heard that they were a reputable bank and trusted them. I can never imagine why they stil have that Robert Hertel guy employed even though he's a spineless, dishonest p***k who knows nothing about what he's doing and probably fails at every other aspect of his life. I hope he gets his punishment from God himself so he can get a taste of his own medicine. I hope he goes to hell for putting us through this nightmare. I will tell everyone I know and their' friends and their friend's of friends and anyone I come across to NEVER DO BUSINESS with these dishonest pricks.
