Wellsfargo assessed overdraft fees for items that have cleared but since there are "pending" amounts that haven't posted yet, everything gets tagged that went thru.
There is ample funds in my account for cover my recent checks, I have a $600 pending transaction that originated on 2/3/09 that still has not "posted/cleared" from my account today. To top all off, I also have automatic deposits. My paycheck was posted today and there is PLENTY of funds for everything to clear with leftovers even. (no you can't have the leftovers) I am charged overdraft fees. But whats funny is, had the deposit not gone thru and this $600 pending transfer couldn't of been completed today 2-4-09, the checks that went thru yesterday woudn't have caused an overdraft for 2/3/09. HUH?
So if anyone can explain how a bank can charge fees for items that aren't really there yet?
