Werner Enterprises is full of stories, one of the best is the advertised owner operator pay used to entice new applicants, the $120,000.00 dollars per year for a O/OP. and $180,000.00 dollars per year for owner operator trainer, these figures are over and above the operating costs and business overhead; The correct figures after all costs are calculated is within the parameters of a company driver;
These wages will magically appear directly after receiving the $300.00 per week paid for the 60 hours of driving @ 275 hours total drive time; Roughly about $4.25 per hour at 40 hours per week, plus 20 hours per week overtime. Get behind the wheel as a company driver and be ready to make a whopping $9.00 per hour plus OT.
Crazy like a Fox, may be a Fat Rat!
Figure it out, If you paid your drivers $4.25 per hour plus OT, you would be one of the largest Truck carriers in the nation; In return you could take all that money and purchase up the state of Hawaii, thats exactly what Werner is doing. Signed, GO UNION. BKC Interbankex.com
