On June 20, 2004 I was painting on and was on the 4 step from the bottom, the aluminum cross member snapped right where on the edge of the ladders leg. The ladder fell to the ground on its side and I full on my side on my ribs onto the ladder. The ladder was very stable and level. I went to emergency and had some internal bruising and possible broken ribs. I was several weeks recovering. I contact the company that sold me the ladder and in turn they contacted Werner.

Werner asked for pictures, hospital bills and an explaination of what happened. I did as they asked and in about 2 weeks they responded with a phone call stating that it was my fault and offered me $300. My medical bills are $6,000.

I have contacted a couple of attorneys and they would not take the case due to it being a ladder accident and very difficult to prove. I know there must be more related accidents out there and Werner should be forced to pay and take the ladder off of the market.
