step ladder, model 368, 8FT. Rated by them at 250 pounds
when i went to put my weight on the 6th step it twisted and fell against my car. This occurred in my garage on a cement floor(clean and smooth) With the ladder set uo correctly and in a stable position. The rear legs of the ladder are not reinforced in a safe engineering configuration. They are designed to fail because they are not correctly reenforced to prevent twisting. I fell onto the car first(while still on the ladder) bounced off and then hit the floor head and shoulder first followed by my wrist and left elbow.
Resulting in a concussion, fractured wrist, bruised and scrapped shoulder and 3 toes on my left foot sprained. The addition of a simple low cost brace to the rear support and this would not have happened.
Now I have the additional costs of the car repair and medical bills to pay.
Besides the trauma of the event.
