Complaint Review: West Bay Acquisitions LLC

I am frustrated, but reassured, to see that I am not alone in receiving one of West Bay Acquisition's demand for payment.  According to them, I owe $19.99 for a DVD rental at Hollywood Video from 6/7/2009.  It's ironic to me that this is the first I've heard about it, nearly three years later.

I am confident that the video was returned and that this claim is completely false.  I do intend to dispute it in writing and demand a written verification (which according to other consumer reports, they don't have).  I won't waste my time calling them.  Apparently they are experiencing high call volume these days.  Wonder why? 

I agree that this is probably just a scam to generate money.  $19.99 is not that significant, but if enough people pay rather than dispute it, it could add up to quite a bit.
