I read in the AZ Republic an AD that read:
$ 50 Cent $
Acct Rep, Warehouse, Sales
All Jobs 14/hr Call rick at
(480) 839-6249

I thought that looked shady, until i went to
5861 S Kyrene Rd # 2
Tempe, AZ 85283

The name in Google is Atlas Supply, the name on the window is West Builders Supply. I filled out an application, the "secretary" was talking on the phone with her friend the entire time. I got an interview, if you can call it that.

Some guy in a wife beater with a button up shirt on, tattoos on his arms interviewed me. He didn't ask me any regular questions, just told me that the warehouse just got filled, HOW CONVIENT. I had a weird feeling about it, but figured i would give it a shot for 14 bucks an hour. I went in the next day, found out its just a back room with old teachers desks, and old phones. No computers or anything past 1990 in there. There is no warehouse, its just a scam to get people in there. Its a shady illegal telemarketing scam.

Vic is right, they don't use the real names, while i was there i was under supervision of 'Dennis'. This guy is a real piece of work. They call up people 7 times a day and harass them to buy these products which are just refurbished crap, and they sell them as new. I listened to a few calls and they all knew who the telemarketer was, pleading them to stop calling. When the person hangs up, they call them on their cellphone and start threatening them and cursing them out. They do not honor the donotcall list. They get their info from SalesGenie and Something else.

They target owners of construction businesses. Before i began i expected to sign tax docs, nope they are under the table, instead i signed a contract. In the contract it says that i won't get my last 2 paychecks until 180 days. Also states that i won't get paid unless i sell 5000 dollars of items in a week!!!

After listening to dennis make calls, and hear the other people take calls, i wanted the hell out of there, and i left.

When i left i talked to someone that said he is working there for over a week and they keep making excuses why they havent paid him yet. He then said he is going to quit because what they are doing is harrasment, illegal, shady, and just isn't moral. THese guys will not stop calling until they sell you something, then you are good for maybe a week if you are lucky.

One guy on the phone said the gator blades look like they were resharpened and painted black, probably were. Also in the contract they had me sign, it said i must say Atlas Contrators and he blacked out Supply. Well there is a real company called Atlas COntractors and they are not affiliated with them in any way.
I did not get paid for the 1/2 a day i was there, i just wanted out of there, i also took my app and contract so they couldnt harasse me either. They need to be shutdown.
There info:
Atlas Supply, aka west builders supply, aka cal pacific products.

Tempe, AZ 85283
(480) 839-6249 - try blocking the number, maybe the calls will stop

You need to take the time to report these guys to the Arizona Wage and Labor Board. There are laws regarding paying employees and I don't think these guys are following them. Also I would report them to the Arizona Attorney General, which you can file online. These guys need to be shut down!!

I am a person recieving the calls, and today when I asked what the call was about, the person exclaimed "WHAT I'm F**king being interogated now?"

Unprofessional to say the least.

I have done some research and discovered that this company is actively being persued by law eforcement, as well as several companies that are interested in pressing charges for fraud and a few for herrasment.

"Dennis" is an active participant in the fraud as the name has come up several times in reference to this company, which is why he is so protective of it.

I myself have been offended by the abusive language and reported the lastest incident to the interested parties.

They are clearly illegal and unproffesional.

From what is being described by "Seven" they may also violating several labor laws.

First off telemarketing is marketing products by phone to individuals such as homeowners. Calling and setting physical appointments and sales by telephone to businesses is a whole different category. We dont call homeowners selling wares and knives. We call published and listed businesses all over the country in various construction trades for the purpose of selling them tools for their business.
Every business gets calls for copier supplies, toner, ink, pens, pencils or stuff they use in their trade. All of which are sic codes or standard industrialized codes a common categorization of businesses.
Capitalism at its best and there is no do not call list for businesses and there never will be. So if you dont like being contacted close your business and move to China a socialist country. Otherwise I wont complain everytime I open my mailbox, yellow pages or local periodicals and look at your paid advertisements you whiney babies.

I also worked for this company for a brief period like "Seven Alive". The suggestion that the employees wear suits and ties is as fictional as the Easter Bunny.

This "Dennis" character offers a convenient rebuttal, but far from believable.

The OP has more credibility in my eyes, as I have seen these operations as I was several times in the position orf wasting my time filling out applications, being interviewed only to find out it is telemarketing.

And, I have NEVER seen anyone in a telemarketing outfir wear a suit and tie.

If it is telemarketing, just call it that. Why waste anyone's time and resources? That is the real ripoff here.

And, what's up with the multiple names/aka's?. Explain that.

What does your business license say? Do you even have one? Probably not.

Anyway, the ONLY name you are allowed to use is that of the one that is on your business license. Using any other name is fraud.

Another 3 hour worker that couldnt handle a real job

This guy is so off base. 1st off everyone here wears a suit and tie, so nobody with tattoos and a wife beater interviewed him, lie 1. #2 is I have tons of customers that reorder from me every month. Matter of fact the secretary was talking to one of my big call in accounts that calls me every month. This one customer literally spends enough to generate commissions that cover my rent for a whole month. The complainant left because after he was hired his criminal history came back and he was a felon and currently had an outstanding warrant. He lied on his application and realized his time was up. Now he is disgruntled and on the run thats why he took his application with him. Ive been here 4 years and am doing wonderful whereas the complainant is wanted and unemployable.
