WEST GATE RESORTS, ORLANDO FLORIDA RIPOFF Nasty Filthy Disguisting Roach Infested Liars Money Stealers Orlando Florida
I myself had a problem with West Gate Resorts! My family & I went on VACATION to Disney World & Universal Studios in July of 2004.We made our reseverations with West Gate and also purchased our Theme Park tickets through them.
We were promised the moon and stars.(If something sounds too good to be true, it is!)After 14 1/2 hours of driving we finally made it there. When we arrived, we were greeted with someone (security guard)that could not speak English and to top it off the "Front Desk" was closed so I gave the security guard my conformation number and he could not even find our reservation.
He called the supervisor at home and she told him to put us in a room. (we were supposed to be in a suite and have 7 swimming pools on the property, FREE shuttle to Disney and 7 day Park Hopper passes)When we got in our room, after all the excitement, we finally layed down to sleep and before we could get to sleep I felt something crawling on me. I threw the covers back and there was 3 roaches crawling on the bed under the blankets.
We called to the front desk, but they were closed, I went to the security guard who gave us our room but it did no good because he did not speak English.
So we were stuck in that room until 7 am when the front desk opened. When I went there @ 7am the front desk supervisor apologized and moved us to another room. Still not what we paid for.
Then more problem arose when we went to get our Park Hopper passes and Universal Studio passes that was a nightmare. We did not get what we were told we were getting. We got the Touch of magic passes which allows you to only visit 2 of the Disney Theme Parks, not all of them like the park hopper passes do.We paid $3600.00 for 2 adults and 4 kids for the touch of magic passes and 1 day @ Universal studios and 1 swimming pool and no FREE shuttle to Disney.(parking is expensive there too)I complained so after 4 days they moved us to another West Gate resort which was a little nicer but still not what we were told in the beginning.
After all was said and done They were supposed to credit my credit card back $360.00 which was 10% off for all of the prolems,Here ut us May1,2005 and I still have not got my $360.00 back> they did give me $50.00 in comp. food at one of their resturants which was awful as well. My suggestion is STAY AWAY from ALL WEST GATE RESORTS and sell your timeshare.

We did not drive 39.6 mph. We had 4 kids with us that ranged from 6 - 13 and if you have ever traveled with kids then you should know that you have to stop for bathroom breaks, feed them and stop at rest areas because of them being cooped up together for so long.

Sounds like the trip from hell. But 14.5 hours to cover 575 miles? That averages out to a whopping 39.6 MPH. Something like 407 mi. of it was on the interstate, 395 or IH-10 or whatever. That's a lot of potty breaks.
