West Mesa Mobile Homes - Cavco ripoff, bait and switch, breech of warranty, fraud, over pricing Albuquerque New Mexico
We ordered a home in may of 2000. Went in to sign on home they switched home. Breeched there own warranty and Cavoc breeched warranty. They charged us items that were included in there contract which was supposed to be free.
We tried to get them to fix problems with the home since 2000 and still hasn't been done. They did our tape and texture 5 times and still is done wrong. They got the mortgage company to have the appraiser over price the home and land by 30,000 dollars. They subcontracted to another company to set up of the house and didn't put it together right.
Now our home is splitting in two. The contract for the foundation did the foundation wrong and the foundation is failing. They violated the unfair trade practices and is probably paying off the city to cover it up. My children are afraid to live in the home because it is seperating. Cavco has also not complied with their warranty for the home but keeps passing it to West Mesa Homes and West Mesa Homes is passing to Cavco.
The mortgage company together with West Mesa Homes had the appraiser over priced the home 30,000 dollars to get us into a home that is only worth 95,000 and not 120,400 for which they charged us. The home was 56,000 but charged us 76,000. The foundation cost was over 11,000 dollars and we were not told of the over pricing on the foundation.
This report is not the only report against West Mesa Homes there have been 14 others and the owner of West Mesa Homes, Sergio Reyes, has 5 DWI's. Cavco has also received reports against other consumers for breeching the warranty.
I want this nightmare to end for it has been anightmare since the day we signed on the home. The mortgage company did not let us know that we could have qualified for a stick built home. The mortgage company also never met with us. They made a fradulent check out in my mothers name but really added it to the price of our home. This all came from an annonomous fax showing all that was added to the price of the home. Right now the home is worth nothing and we couldn't sell it if we wanted to.
My children live in fear and the stress of it all is unbearable. Please do not buy anything from that company for he has don it to other consumers just check with the Attorney Generals office for they have a 2 page list on West Mesa Homes.
Thank you
Ann
