We negotiated the price down to $21500 then had a fast talking FI manager use his ability of deception to write us up for over $5000 in service contracts and without our knowledge added $2000 to the begotiated price. My wife got so mad she tore up the down payment check and after we left he taped it back together and cashed it anyways I believe it's called the old bait and switch we called Chrysler home office, several lawyers and news4 in your corner they wouldn't even return our calls were pissed.

If you are being 100% truthful I am not going to justify what they did. However, the timing seems to be a bit odd.
When I have purchased a car the very last thing I did AFTER signing all of the documents was to hand over the check. So just how did you get this far into the process without knowing the "numbers" you were agreeing to? To the point where you shouldn't have even written the check in the first place.
But then after you wrote the check. How much time elapsed between this and your wife tearing it up. Just how was she able to get the check back, and why would she just not keep the check and take it with you?
