Complaint Review: West Shore Sports Tahoe

West Shore Sports is owned by Robert Weston, a local Tahoe resident.  Mr. Weston is known as a "hot head" around town and he just fired a female friend of mine because she told him she was pregnant.  She could have easily just worked the rental desk but all employees could have to carry some equipment--he is under staffed---so he did not want her around due to her "condition" as she "could not do it all for him", according to Mr. Weston.

My friend has filed a lawsuit against Mr. Weston for descrimination.  The loss of this job has left her in dire financial straights.

This is not the only lawsuit Mr. Weston is involved in in Lake Tahoe.  He and his oxycotion addicted friend, Jimmy Lane, who works at Obexer's Boat Company, filed a bogus lawsuit a year ago against a professional baseball player as a result of a River Grill incident.  Although most people would have walked away after falling down, Weston and Lane filed a lawsuit for "unspecified" damages using the local scam attorney, Lou Basile.  Mr. Lane and Mr. Weston claim that they were hurt by "transference", in other words, neither were ever in contact with the baseball player but they fell down and Mr. Lane hurt himself he says--although he never wears his wrist brace other than to depositions.

They both see easy dollars signs due to insurance company involvement, both West Shore Sports and Obexer's Boat Company should be avoided.
