Complaint Review: Western Dental

2/16/15 Boke a front tooth off at the gum.  Western Dental was on my lousy insurance provider list so I called for an emergency appt.  Apppointment time was set for 11AM.  At 2:15PM I was taken back for Xrays & returned to the chaotic waiting room.  At 3:30PM I was taken back to see a "dentist".  The dentist did not speak English and he did NOT understand the emergency situation.  He thought a cap had fallen off.  Duh!  There is a gapping hole in the front of my face.  The staff could not understand him either.  Therefore I had no comfort level in the the information entered into the computer.  I then sat in a meat market with 5 other dental chairs in a round circle.  

There was a sign on the wall that "No photography or video taping allowed".  That was a huge red flag.  Obviously they have something to hide.  Then the computer operator comes back with a $6000.00 quote and a payment contract for me to sign.  I was under terrible emotional distress and did not understand what I was signing. Western Dental didn't care.  They said for any care at all to be received I must sign their payment con-tract.  And a con it was.  $6000.00 for one tooth is beyond highway robbery, the dentist was blind and did not speak English.  I was forced into signing the payment contract & left there without any treatment AT ALL for a 4 hour wait.

Three days later I went back & spoke to General Manager, Veronica.  I explained the horrible treatment I had received on 2/16/15 and told her that I wished to withdraw the payment contract I waa hornswaggled into signing.  I signed it under distress and was not give the opportunity to read the document before signing.  She supposedly pulled the contract in their computer system.  

Bottom line is that Western Dental is a meat market con game on all levels.  Avoid them at all costs.
