Western Union offices don't honor their own Checks! deceptive company Maryland
My son had some bad luck in Baltimore and I sent him a $100 Western Union Money order to get him on his feet....
Western Union offices told him they could not cash his check because it had to be for exact merchandise.
I NEVER saw a company that could not honor it's own CHECK!
I spoke to a Western Union operator and they told me when they learned of this fact they were appalled also.
What a way to run a money business!!!
Western Union...If you are reading this...he still needs his money from the check YOU Won't Honor!!

Was this a WU transfer check or a WU money order, there is a bid difference. WU transfers are paid out in cash and/or check. WU money orders main purpose are for paying bills.
The main difference is that WU offices are privately owned and/or operated. Money orders whether WU or not are like a personal check are a subject to fees to cash and are more difficult to distinguish their authenticity.
I am not defending the office since I don't have the entire story, merely explaining WU policy regaurding money orders.
