Complaint Review: Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa

Westgate Lakes Resort & Spa Westgate Resorts, Westgate Timeshares WE had a 3 bedroom Lockout unit that we had already paid for many years ago...Upon our last visit in Nov 2012, we were told by our "salesperson" that obviously we must have been overlooked and 'qualified' for a HUGE discount because we were never given the opportunity to purchase the NEW units. We were shown the NEW units...a 2 bedroom lockout (BEAUTIFUL). and told we could 'turn in our OLD unit:" and get this one at a DISCOUNT of only $12,000. Never heard back from her. so the telephone tag with Sebastian CONTINUED for 7 months. I SWEAR! 7 months...We were told we had to pay our MAINTENANCE FEE of $843. in order for ANYONE to talk to us, so I PAID it. then I called. was given wrong information...then called back given different information, then just decided to 'wait" and deposit our 2013 unit, for a better chance at getting perhaps a better "chance" for 2014...only to be told via an email we needed to pay our OWNERS fees. Well. DUH..I already did that & it's already processed...so well. TODAY we decided to STOP the automatic drafts of $200. per month on our monthly installments. SO SUE us...Westgate is a RIP OFF. Buyer beware! Orlando Florida

 We went to a "sale" presentation....Supposed to be 90 min...which turned into 5-6 hours.  We OWNED a 3 bedroom lockout unit...and our sales person...said....OMG, you were apparently never informed about the NEW units and QUALIFY for a huge discount on the NEW units....They normally sell for $30k plus...but I can get them for you at the INITIAL discount of the pre-sale price of only $12K....This is unheard of and I got my manager to agree to do this.

Not only did we give up an ALREADY paid for 3 bedroom lockout...we now have a 2 bedroom lockout that we can't do anything with. 

Believe me...we've tried.  We were LIED to by our salesperson, Sebastian...and we've been told 3 different stories every time we call to "TRY" to use our timeshare.  They got our $843. annual maintance fee..and the GOT $200. per month for the past 9 months... WE CAN'T use our timeshare...and we get conflicting stories...every time we call. 

WE finally just decided to STOP the $200. per month payments that were being automatically being deducted from our credit card.....The rip off has ended...they have our money, and we have NOTHING...THEY Stole our 3 bedroom unit and we have NOTHING!...The payments have ended.

DO NOT buy from these crooks!
