Complaint Review: Westgate Resorts

Very unpleasant experience with Westgate Resorts. I had made the mistake of purchasing my tickets to Disney World with Westgate when I booked my vacation. I was told I would be given my tickets I purchased and 2 free one-day tickets to Sea World after a 90-minute sales presentation.

I went to what was suppose to be a 90 minute sales presentation on 05/31/2006. The presentation lasted five hours. I arrived at 7:30 with my 6 year old daughter who was seperated from me by 8:00 and put in a play room. The sales representaive Charlene Williams talked two hours, then she drove me around for 45 minutes to look at apartments. By 10:45AM after she presented the price I told her I was not interested. She tried to resell me again. I told her I could not afford it. Then she went and got her manager I told him I was not interested and by 12:15 still another person came over with a deal to use a timeshare for one week for $200 down and $29 month the price was $795 total. I signed it just to get out of there they were holding my daughter and my Disney tickets hostage. I was tired hungry and my daughter who had not seen in hours must have been bored to tears. Then you wait in two long lines to to get your attraction tickets(whether you paid for them or they are free)

When I finally got to Disney World at 2:30 PM and presented my voucher for my tickets. I discovered Westgate had down graded the hoppers tickets(which allow you to go from park to park in one day) to base tickets(one park per day) which means they cheated my out of $160 which they have since refused to refund. The one day attraction tickets you get from them are not worth the time you spend at the presenation. I wasted almost an entire day of my vacation time with my daughter I cannot get back. In addition they cheated me out of $160 by down grading my tickets. Don't waste your time with them you'll be very sorry. This is a scam!
