my complaint is concerning purchasing a timeshare 5 months ago where we were assured that we could travel any time we desired after being there from 9am-after 5pm for what was suppose to be a 90 min thing. the hole experience has been a complete night mare. we purchased a value season bc we didnt want to travel to the mountains every year. at the time we knew nothing about timeshare terms but were told its our unit to use whenever we want as long as we book 90 days in advance. well that was a lie. our week is 1-11 which is useless considering we have school age children and we made it perfectly clear that we only travel during summer months. so i call to speak to the developer which was a waste of time the only thing we can off is for you to upgrade to a $26k unit or pay a years season upgrade fee of $500+ after we just spent $8k. im think are you serious thats outrageous we havent used our unit and actually wont be able to untill 2016. i suggested they give us what was promised or they just sell the unit which they dont do. i am so furious with this situation i am ready to drive to tn and get the closing officer and sales guy in one room bc this hole thing is fraud a big scam to get ppl in and that is unacceptable

I am in the same boat as the consumer. You must work for westgate, you sound like one of there sales people. Yes the do pressure you and tell you a bunch of lies when you can use it and what it overs you. Westgate will tell you what ever it takes to get you to buy. $8k is alot of money for what you get. I agree with consumers complaint.

I don't know where you got your info from but you need to seriously get your head out of your a** no one said anything about the beach we can't use it at our own location so surly we don't expect to be able to use it at another location and further more we only purchased the value season bc we wouldn't want to go to gatlinburg every year so explain to me who are you? Clearly your not Donald and you don't know the first thing about what I can afford you sound like a ignorant a** idiot bc clearly you didn't read what I said so hop off unless you know wtf you're actually talking about.

 you bought an every other year ownership in value season.yes you can use it in any season on 90 days notice or less but if the beach is your goal you made a bad purchase choice.and please dont try to say they pressured you to buy this package .you were showed a packaged that would do what your family needed but you could not afford it so they drop the price and benifits till they got to something you could afford which gits your foot in the door and the ability to upgrade in baby steps to what you needed in the first place.just because you are on a budget dont think 8 grand turns you into donald trump.upgrade and you will have what you wanted and get to enjoy the benefits that millions of owners enjoy.for every bad review on timeshare there are thousands of happy owners that you dont hear from.the reason is that happy people tell now one and unhappy people tell everyone.but the unhappy ones never mention their part in the problem.
