Westmont Motors ripped off my 19 year old son when buying his 1st car.  All that they said was wrong with it was a timing belt and we did buy it under those pretenses. However, he had it for 6 hours when the transmission went out on it. I went in to talk to the owner full well knowing I had no legal recourse but wanted him to know he didn't get a way with a thing.  The owner proceeded to tell me he told us about the transmission which was a complete lie. I asked about the noise in the engine and the salesman did say his mechanic thought is was a timing belt. I asked the sale man how much that would be to fix and he responded as honest as he could. We were content with the extra possible 300.00 repair, but had no idea it would lead to a 2300.00 transimission repair.   Of course there is nothing I can do after 24 hours owning this lemon, but I did want to warn other potential victims of their total dishonest business practice. Before buying a car from Westmont Motors, I would ask for at least a five day warranty because they obviously have a very good mechanic who can rigg things for a time!!!!!! I am blessed to have made it home in the car the way it was. My son was fortunate.

They did give me the name of a transmission shop 40 miles from where the car is and said they could do it for a reasonable cost, however, it would cost me 150.00 to tow it there, so I guess it was his way of getting me out of there.
