Merchant does not meet obligations, has recently relocated and previous business numbers have been disconnected. I cannot find any legitiate reference to this company on the net.

Dear Tim,
You would take a look at our posting in ripoffreport.com. You can do a search for Ed Shapiro Westmount Photography. We had the same experience as you - Ed took our wedding photos and absconded with over 3000$, claiming that he was imminently sending us the proofs. He can be found on the message board zuga.net. Unfortunately, he apears to be so well-loved on zuga.net that the web manager has been deleting our messages to the photographic community, but there may still be one or two there.

I had Ed Shapiro do my wedding photos last summer, and have been thrilled to pieces with the quality of his work. He's a sweet guy, if a bit of a blowhard, and his photos - despite an exploding power supply and my going Bridezilla on his butt at the end of our reception, for no fault of his - were fantastic.

I do know that he had some troubles with his studio and landlords in the spring, and had to relocate across the street, but we received our proofs in the fall and relatives' folios on time, this summer, as promised (we were the ones who created the delay over the winter, not him). Quality also excellent, and price very reasonable for the work.

We haven't received our album yet, but that isn't due to arrive until the end of August. If it doesn't arrive, I'll update again, but to this point, we've been very satisfied with his work. Hopefully whatever problems there have been are only temporary - he's been good to us.
