Westport Animal Hospital, Dr. Frank, "Fleecing" customers Westport Connecticut
Do not buy any veterinary products from Dr. Frank. He overcharges to an absurd degree. This week he diagnosed both of my dogs with Lyme Disease and prescribed a generic antibiotic, Doxycycline and ripped us off on the cost of the meds. Additionally, he sold us some other products -- Heartworm Meds and Flea and Tick treatment and marked up the price on those products as well. ..
Dr. Frank charged us $191.99 for 60 Doxycycline pills (a generic med) for each dog--- the going price on Pet Meds is $ 19.99 !!!! Total charge for the 2 dogs doxycycline was $400 vs. $40 on Pet Meds. How do you justify that kind of a mark-up?
He then charged us $48 for Heartworm Meds -- price on Pet Meds 26.99 and 56.00 for Frontline flea and tick which sells for 38.69 on Pet Meds.
The total visit for the 2 dogs ( with the meds) was over $1000. Please check the prices on the meds if you ever go to the Westport Animal Hospital as they really take advantage of the consumer!!!!
