WESTPORT LOTTO GAMING CORPORATION FAKE LOTTERY CHECK FOR 3961.00 ST.JOHN Other
we received a letter like the many others reported here , that we had won a lottery. enclosed was a check for 3961.00. we were to send 3600.00 by western union to cover a 'surcharge'.
the letter was from WLGC,Westport Lotto Gaming Corporation, ST.JOHN, Virgin Islands.
the check was from Andrews Distribution Co. of NorthTexas, Ltd. i checked this company out and they are a legit beer distributer. i believe the con artists are using checks they forged from this company and that andrews dist.co. had nothing to do with it.
anyway ,we deposited the check and waited. after 7 business days it came back. but thanks to this website we were not fooled. we deposited it to have further evidence for the postmaster that the check was indeed fake.
