I received this Mystery Shopper request in the mail complete with a check for $3980. The letter and forms attached appeared to be legitimate. I had been searching for various part-time and at-home work and knew that Mystery Shopper jobs did exist, but this sounded too good to be true, so I did some research online first.

The check was written from a Trust Account from Weststar Loan Servicing Corporation in Phoenix, AZ. This company does have a website and does seem to exist, but some things just didn't check out. "Phoenix" was misspelled twice on the check, in 2 different locations and spelled 2 different ways. It was stamped with a Wells Fargo logo that said Phoenix also. That address didn't check out at all and the zip code wasn't in AZ, but in WY. It said 83012 which is Moose, WY, but their website gave a similar address and a zip code of 85012 which is in Phoenix, AZ. The Toronto address did seem to check out. The NY town and zip matched, but there was no match for the street location. I used mapquest for checking addresses, cities, and zips.

I'm very thankful that others have reported this on here so that when I did a search to check for legitimacy, I found their information before I myself got involved in this scam. If it seems too good to be true, it most likely is.... check it out thoroughly before you get involved.
