Westwood College Student who's Single Mother was ripped off and lied too Dallas Texas
Warning to all mothers please beware of colleges like Westwood luckily they are no longer in business.
My story was simple my son decided to go to Westwood he applied for several loans and I decided to help with one after I co-signed for one loan turned in a nightmare, one year later year someone put the loan into my name as the student and I tried for several years to get it out and put back into my son's name they refused I paid what I could the orginal loan amount was $8000 paid on and off for 9 years for a total $4500 and the balance is $13,000 how can it be after making payments more than what was borrowed??? I kept asking how does it go up when I would make payments they were always rude and never would answering only to ask when will I pay the balance ? Now they are closed understand completely .
After years of payments and paying off a few loans my son never did get his degree couldnt afford it.
Parent of former Westwood student.

You being an UNWED MOTHER has NOTHING to do with this. You can put away that sympathy card now because it isn't going to work here!
It was YOU who agreed to co-sign on a loan. It was YOU who failed to make payments on time. Because of YOUR actions, it was YOU who caused extra interest and late charges to accrue.
The ONLY ripoff is YOUR SON not making payments on time and YOU going along with it!
