Complaint Review: Wet-Media Inc.

As someone who belongs to several gay sex sites, I know that you don't take anything personal.  Other members feel like they can be asses to you because you can't see their faces or even respond sometimes. Same goes for barebackrt.com.  Just like other websites for hooking up, the other members can be dicks and like what some other guys on here have said, they sometimes make racist comments, in their responses and also in their profiles which everyone can see.  I'm white, and I know it's wrong, but I usually don't make too much of a fuss about it.  I probably would be less likely to pursue these guys, although I have hooked up with some of them if they did hit on me. 

To address what the others are saying about barebackrt.com and the owner(s), I gotta say that this owner really is quite an unprofessional d**k who has no business owning a business.  I've called him a couple of times complaining about something wrong with the site not functioning, and he will address it.  But once he was in a bad mood or something, and he was such an a*s on the phone to me, I wanted to kick his butt.  He was really rude, kept sighing like I was inconveniencing him, was really abrupt in his answers, and tried a few times to make lame excuses and pass the buck onto somebody else.  At least on all the other sites, if you contact administration, they respond in a professional tone, and are not rude.  Pigmaster the owner seems to do what he wants, when he wants to do it.  If he happens to be in a bad mood, that will make the difference whether your concern will get addressed, and in what kind of manner (rude or professional) it will be heard.  I've read several responses from him to my friends when they emailed him about problems.  For example, one of my friends emailed him in a very polite tone about a concern that it was taking a lot longer than usual for his profile to be approved and posted on the site.  Pigmaster wrote back so sarcastically, saying that he couldn't be sitting by the computer or phone 24 hours a day to approve profiles, and that my friend would be shocked to learn that he the owner was human and yeah he needed to sleep sometime during the night as well.  He also made a sarcastic jab and said if my friend wanted better service than he should also expect to pay more than the $5.95/month membership fee.  I mean, this is a serious response from a "professional" to a polite email from one of his patrons?

And the owner has a way of twisting member statements (which he has done to some of my friends and acquaintances on the site) and twisting events so that he comes out looking right.  I thought the customer is always correct.  This owner will argue with and insult the members, both in emails and on the telephone, over every little detail. I don't know how he gets away with all this. He has even made up random things about a few of my friends to prove some stupid point.  He swears, for example, that one of my friends threatened him (pigmaster), when my friend never did anything even close to that.  Pigmaster used this "threat" as the reason to kick my friend off the site. Pigmaster totally lied about this entire thing, and even changed his version of the story, first saying that my friend had sent him a threatening email. But when asked to reproduce the email, pigmaster changed my friend's "threat" to a threat made in a telephone call.  Please... So obvious it's insulting.

I read through the complaints of other members, and it looks to me that the owner is distorting events and statements.  The initial guy said he first received a racist direct email from another member, and then called pigmaster to complain and document a report.  Pigmaster apparently refused to address the issue, and I guess felt threatened by the members inquiry about whether the website condones racism and bigotry.  So true to form, pigmaster arbitrarily cancels the member's membership. Now since the owner himself refuses to do anything about a racist remark made on this member, and also refuses to denounce the bigoted statement, this member wanted justice and decided to take matters into his own hands. I probably would have done the same thing if some a*s had come up in my face, talking crap like that.  And the owner needs to realize that because of his total failure to uphold the stated rules that we all had to agree to in order to join the website, this member obtained his own justice by giving the racist guy a verbal assault just like the racist guy gave to him.  It's pretty clear according to the first dude's testimony that this is how the events played out. But pigmaster seems to have rearranged things so that he looks like he had a valid reason for blocking the now ex-member from the site. This by the way is almost exactly what he did to my friend, in order to make up a reason for kicking a member off the site when there never was one. And I don't know what pigmaster's obsession with CNN and the ACLU is.  Now it looks like he's accused 2 different members of being employed by both....  What are the odds of that being true?

So am I a hypocrite for remaining on the site? I guess. But this site really is kind of a monopoly because there aren't really any other sites with the same theme, so maybe that's why pigmaster feels like he can treat people like sh-t, and cater to prostitutes and drug addicts on the website without any fear. And I don't even pay for the membership fee, and just settle for the limited access.  I'd be hella pissed like matt if pigmaster conned me out of actual cash, and then refused to even answer my phone calls or emails now that he's gotten my money.

I would like to know from the owner exactly which rules of the website I had violated.  This is exactly what I was trying to inquire about when I repeatedly called but was either hung up on, or my call was simply never answered and the phone there rang for 15 min.  In addition, I also lodged a formal inquiry as to why my account was terminated via numerous emails to the "support@bbrt.com" address which they post, and now over a week later, none of these emails have even been acknowledged.  So I repeated, I would like the owner to list exactly which rules/regulations of the site I had violated.  It will be interesting to see what his answer will be, and if he continues to accuse me of being somebody I'm not.  His delusion would be almost comical if it wasn't involving such a serious (and illegal) issue.  

This company is completely insane.  I had never even HEARD of this site until last month, and it was through a friend's suggestion that I satisfy my curiosity by exploring the site.  I'm really not sure where CNN or the ACLU has played into this site in regards to my particular membership, although perhaps it would not be such a bad idea for the ACLU to be notified of the owner's ties to neo-n**i organizations.  And as I've stated before, if the owner would only devote half as much attention to his own website business as he does to monitoring this particular bad business reporting website (I'm surprised he hasn't tracked down all of the other reports that are circulating about Wet Media), his website might be slightly improved, but I'm not sure how the illegal activities and corruption on the site should be dealt with.  The site continues to ignore any and all of my attempts to get my refund, and to get any form of communication from Wet Media as to why my account was terminated.  And I find it extremely interesting that if the owner really did mistakenly confuse my account for someone else's, then he purposefully told me to send in cash to pay for my membership, even with his supposed knowledge that my "account" was already forbidden.  So this clearly and emphatically illustrates just how dishonest and deceitful the owner of this website really is.  In his mind, my account was banned, yet he coaxed me into sending more money into his headquarters, knowing all along that he was going to pocket my money, and then terminate my account!!!  And I also must emphasize that when I did call in the first time to inquire about my payment, the owner tried to lie to me and say that he never received it, only to say that he suddenly remembered that he did indeed receive it when I challenged him on the fact that I tracked the envelope to their headquarters.  Seriously, what more must they do to consumers before this website is shut down?  Who else do I need to report this company to?

This member was perviously banned from our site, he posted a previous message on this site about us accusing us as being a "front" for a racist organization, he has also called into our support posing as a reporter for CNN, a lawyer for the ACLU. He was banned from our site for sending out hate email to members and for soliciting for crystal meth. He continues to create accounts in violation of our terms of service.
