I had placed an order for bike parts on Nov, 11, 2002 through the web site www.wheelworld.com
Since I live in Israel and visit the U.S. every once in a while, I was not able to place the order in person and decided to order online. after I placed the order I was contacted by an employee named Patrick and he advised me that there is one part that is not in stock and that i would have to wait for it.

After checking my Visa card balance I had found out that it has been charged for $700.00 (the price of the parts plus $47 dollars for shipping & handling), although they wrote in their web site that your card will not be charged unless items are in stock. I kept waiting for the parts, and kept calling the store, and every time I called they had told me that the part was not in stock, when I asked to speak to a manager patrick put me through to a person named kyle, who was very rude to me and hung up on me saying that i am wasting his time when I called to ask where are that park that I PAID FOR A MONTH AGO!

finaly partick advised me that the shipment will not be sent because its too big for the mail and Fed Ex or UPS charge $300-$450!!! for the shipment! He was even rude enough to tell me to pay for the shipment through Fed Ex! and if I am not happy with it I can come and pick it up myself!!! After waiting for 5 weeks that he has my money and after many very expensive calls from israel, he advised me that he will refund the money and "that's it". I explained to him that the interest i would have to pay for refunding the money is over $150.00, but he was not willing to listen.

I don't understand how can Wheel world advertise in their web site that they ship anywhere, charge me for shipping, for a product that they sell and know what's the size of the shipment and still lead customers on!, learn from my mistake! it has been 5 weeks, I still didn't get a refund or the parts. I asked my cousin who lives in Florida to call him because the calls are very expensive to me, she spoke to patrick trying to see if there is something they can do, and asking to talk to kyle, Patrick called back a while later and said that " his boss would not spend anymore time on this matter and will not speak to her, she advised him that she will contact the attorney general's office and file a complaint, and left a number where she can be reached.

Kyle called shortley, she advised him of the problem and told him that we are going all the way with this if something is not done to refund me the total charges plus the interest, he was rude, raisd his voice at a lady and hung up. Right now I am left empty handed, but I will post a complaint to the attorney general, and the Better Business Bureau. DONT EVER USE THIS COMPANY.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
