Complaint Review: WheresMyRebate.com - Netgear

This company looks to make a practice of trying their hardest to not pay rebates.

They just turned down a rebate of mine that was bought at Tiger Electronics a partcipating dealer of Netgear. The store had a display that clearly noted the MR814 I purchased was a rebate item. I mailed all required rebate materials in and received an E-mail message that my rebate was denied because Tiger is not a partcipating dealer and for an altered reciept. I guess tapeing the reciept and highlighting the product in yellow marker on the reciept is grounds for refusing the rebate due. All directions were followed and only one rebate was sent. I guess they had to find some excuse for not refunding the money due.

I will continue to fight to get what is due me, but will further the cause by telling all the people I know to not buy Netgear Products and avoid any product associated with whersmyrebate.com by doing so I'm sure a large enough dent could be placed in their business to either make them deal with people fairly or just plain put them out of business for ripping people off.
