Complaint Review: Wheresmyrebate.com

Last Year in 2003, I purchased a SMC wireless Access Point ($40 rebate) and SMC wireless Card ($10 rebate) from MicroCenter.

I got the $40 rebate for the Wireless Access Point and I didn't get the $10 rebate for the Wireless card.

I called Wheresmyrebate.com and they said I would need to resend a fax. I could not locate the UPC codes because I forgot to make a copy of the UPC code.

I guess the lesson learned is that make a copy of everything and chase these folks all over.

But I send a refax of the store receipt and application form. The wheresmyrebate operator said that they would look at it.

Guess what, I never got the $10 back. It's only $10 and MicroCenter and wheresmyrebate put their reputation at stake for it.

I will NEVER shop at MicroCenter or do rebate thru wheresmyrebate.com.

They are a total ripoff. I told them that I would expose them if they did not pay my $10. So here's it.

I am very unhappy with rebates. More government oversight watch over these business. IMO, there are many SCAMs out there.

But again, there are a few good companies that are honest if one send them in, I get the money.
