I bought a Zio 10 in 1 card reader at Circuit City for $40. Mailed in the rebate for $20 (offer 20198) in July 04. As always, I made photo copies of everything, UPCs included. Called a couple of months later and was told the rebate had arrived without the UPC. I knew this was incorrect since I had a photocopy of the rebate offer with the UPC stapled to it. I was told by Judith to write a letter describing the problem and FAX it, with a copy of the UPC code, to 914-633-8772. I did and received confimation that the FAX had been received. I waited 6 weeks, even calling several times only to be put on hold forever. I Finally got through on 2/21/05 and talked to KRYSTAL, "employee number 107" if you believe that. She said that they had never received the FAX. What a surprise. She berated me for not calling sooner and not checking online for the progress of the rebate. She said the rebate offer period had expired and no rebate could be honored. She said managers were unavailable, they were out to lunch. Then she hung up on me.

I will never buy another product offering a rebate through wheresmyrebate.com. I also won't buy ZIO products or shop at Circuit City. These companies are culpable because they know good and well what is going on and yet they contract with wheresmyrebate and others like them to process rebates. If that is how they want their customers treated, I won't do business with them ever again and I will let everyone I know of my experience. Speak of your experiences and with your wallet!
