Whiskey Wild Saloon advertises on the radio that they are giving away a free vacation every single Wednesday in from mid-June until August. I found out tonight that is not true at all. They give away a vacation to the Bahamas, ski resorts, and other fun places only as they choose to.

I arrived at 7 p.m. and asked the bartender when I was supposed to sign up for the vacation giveaway. She told me that they would do the sign-up at 8 p.m. after happy hour was over. At 8 p.m. happy hour ended and we were all moved to a different part of the bar. One of the owners took over the bartending and I waited until 10 p.m.

After waiting this long I approached the owner and inquired about the free vacation that he had advertised they were supposed to be giving away tonight. He told me that he was not going to give away a free trip to the Bahamas if there was only 5 people in the bar. He was worried that he would lose money. I asked him if he had advertised this promotion and if he was still doing it. He told me that the advertisement was true and that he was giving free trips away, but he would not tonight since there was only 5 people in the bar. (I guess he didn't plan on me telling everyone how he was lying to them.)

I patiently waited for the rest of the evening and there was in fact no vacation giveaway.

If you go to Whiskey Wild Saloon on a Wednesday, I sincerely hope that you do not plan on them sticking to their promise of giving away a free trip to a tropical location, as you will be sorely disappointed just as I was.

I went back to the establishment the next night and paid for a drink.  I sat at a table with 4 friends and started having a conversation.  After about 5 minutes the owner approached me and asked my name.  I told him my name and he promptly told me "to get the f**k out of his bar."

He informed me that I was being told to leave due to the fact that I had written a negative review about his establishment on the internet.  I was refunded my money after being yelled at from across the bar to get out again.

This all apparently stemmed from the fact that the Better Business Bureau had contacted him in regards to my formal complaint filed against the company for false advertising.

The owner definately made a scene and I imagine it was somewhat embarrassing for him afterward.  I set my cup on his bar, told him "thank you" for the drink and wished him a good evening and then left very peaceably out the door.
