Complaint Review: Whispering Pines Mobile Home Park

I have been down on my luck after being released from a job, I took a sales job to try and make up the differnce in income. I had to move from my home, in to a less expensive place. I know, I know... I choosed wrong.  I went and saw three different homes on this property at 100-180 southern pines dr wake forest nc The first one I saw was to small for my growing family (my fiancee and myself currently w/ a small pit bull {Why I couldn't consider an apartment}) The second one was much better, and at a great price too. The third was terrible, and I should have ran then. The floor litterally gave way out from under my feet in the kitchen. There were holes in the carpet and some of the sub floor was missing. I DID NOT pick this one, I choose the second one. The only thing I could visably see wrong was it needed deep cleaning. We paid a month in advanced and moved in 3 weeks later on 10/15/2013 upon moving in, it was a HOT evening we turned on the a/c to only have heat. More hot air blowing in on the warm evening. We called, let the McGhee know (I thought he was the owner until this point) he said he would be out to take a look in the morning and fix by the next few days. He did not show up that next morning it was 3 days later, at this point as it typically does in NC our warm evening stopped suddenly and it became freezing. Tempatures for the night of 10/24/2013 were below freezing. We turned on our heat to find it was not pushing out heat to it's full potential like it should.

We called McGhee again. He had a man come out to our home 4 different times saying it was the 'relay', then it was the 'thermostat'.. come to find out it was the relay and the thermostat was for a 3 phase (which means in the addition of a 'gas pump') when we needed a 2 phase. Then a week later the elements were not kicking off. So we had to control our heat by turning it on at the breaker panel for the rest of the time. Meaning I had to get up 3-5 times a night to turn on the heat for 20 mins or so to keep the chill off the house, or we had to go with out heat. I ended up sick with an ear infection on 11/13/2013 after two weeks of this, I finally called the OWNER Janet, told him about the heat, the outlets having showing wires, the fact that our plumbing was not pex but the illegal out of date lines. We had a hot water heater bust, and flood our bedroom. (Who puts a supply line above the house line, and not under it... for this reason right here.) So.... yes Jason gave us $100 off our rent for the month of december.. I called Jason and sent him an email saying we did not feel safe to sleep through the night, or to leave our animals at home with the heat on. (I called a fire dept. and a home inspections, and a emergency resoration place to ask advice.) I let Jason know we would be moving out on the first of the year. That I wanted my entire deposit back of $975 and that he was lucky I didn't sue, or ask for my rent from the last two months back..... SO.... we stayed 10/15-12/31/13 and paid $2175 for a shack to live in that was highly misrepresented. 

He told me he would give me my deposit back as soon, as he got someone else in there. I had a few remainging boxes and chairs that I couldn't fit the rental truck (Oh which was $379 for the issues and move out) I went back the next morning to get the items and people were already living in the home. I called the sheriff's dept and they came out to help. I never talked to any of the people on the property, only the officer. 

After many attemps to call Jason to get my refund. He finally callled on 2/6/14 to say I had left 'feeces in the toilet, and someone had voided on the walls in the shower of the master bath.' ... excuse me?! I called you about our faulty toilet issues, you refused to do anything about the toilets. I bought 4 containers of mr. plumber and drain-o... I couldn't do anymore, so you keep my money due to this?! This house was cleaned top to bottom when I left, I took pictures on move in and on leave. 

Now I can't find an address to serve him papers for small claims, but DONT RENT FROM THIS SLUM LORD HE IS HORRIBLE... Oh did I mention some latino man tried to break-in just after I had taken my fiancee to work (He works nights, this was at 1 am.) 

Any advice, besides the obvious... I definetly welcome!!!!
