Complaint Review: White & Katzman

Though a writer by profession I will keep this short. I have already read the reports on other sites and they ring true with my experience. Don’t mistake W&K for the very large and presumably popular company in Florida (same names reverse order). In CT property management costs an in exorbitant amount of money. on the web here’s what I read that is similar to my experience: “White and Katzman leads associations to take out large loans’ (Five million in our case). In order to get this loan W & K paid a consultant. the community followed like sheep and now every unit is being assessed 26,000 or $495 per month. With a $26,000 loss in equity, many of the elderly on fixed income will not be able to afford the increase and, and I predict some will lose their homes. Read other reviews and you’ll see the scam that maintenance runs. One of their repairman practically insisted on coming out to look at a problem I had. He was so late and didn’t call that found an alternate fix. When all was done he arrived, gave me a clipboard, and said: ““Sign this so that my boss thinks I did something.” W&K charged me $195 for work that wasn’t done. Even after I explained the situation in full to “management." They called for a year and threatened legal action. Such is the character of this company. I should also note building’s get one coat of paint when they need two, windows are rotting out, the lawn looks like hay, the shrubs are shoddy or dead, and you can wait and wait for snow removal which does less than a thorough job. Having cut down trees, including pines that were hundreds of years old, this is the biggest thing they can take pride in. They do intend to repair our pool to the tune of $200,00. I have to wonder if this was the result of sound bidding. Sound good? Go ahead and hire them. I am about to demand an audit of our books and to file in court to prevent scams like the one visited up me.
