White Oak Apiary WHAT HAPPENED TO MY HONEY? Brewster New York
For a few years now I have been purchasing honey from the little stand in Brewster/Carmel New York. I learned that I can purchase it online from White Oak Apiary. I had emailed Mike and said I was looking forward to the order. So on February 23, 2013, I paid for 3 lbs of honey and was charged 12.85 for shipping. So for $43.85 paid through PayPal, I ordered honey. Honey is heavy, shipping is getting expensive. I understood. The website even said it takes at least 10 days to get ready and ship because they are working. So, having a bunch of kids (4 young boys) and four weeks later, the honey had not arrived. I forgot about it and finally emailed Mike in April and then called. He answered and I told him what was going on. He said just email me, I did have a problem in February when someone was taking honey that I left out for pick up with delivery. Great, i said thank you, we really like your honey and I understand.
Well, guess what? Nothing. So, I emailed him again, now the end of May, then contacted PayPal and what happens? They let me know that it has been too long. $43.85. That is a pair of shoes for our wide footed kids or a winter jacket! This was a treat for all of us and now it is just a rip off.
PayPal should be ashamed too. They want you to do your best and be patient with the seller and I was.
I was never sent a shipping confirmation number, Mike never sent me proof it shipped. Just a copy of the receipt. Then he answers his phone and tells me that he will send it out and I nicely sent him the info again.
