White's Pit Stop ripoff refuses to send product i ordered keeps saying its on backorder Lansing Illinois

On Thu Mar 17 2:28:14 CST 2005 i ordered a Universal Gear Shift Knob; Automatic; Burlwood. from White's Pit Stop for 36.99.

I have yet to recieve my item nor have i recieved any email or tracking numbers or anything indicating that my order was shipped.

I called the company on the 24th of march and was given the runaround speaking to several different people before being told it was on backorder and brushed off. other times during buisness hours I would call and no one would answer the phone.

I checked the merchant revievs at yahoo merchants and realized that this has happened to others as well, not just me.

please help me.

What method of payment did you use? If it was by credit card, be sure to dispute the charge in writing until they ship the item. You need dispute the charge within 60 days of your statement closing dating.

Making your online purchases with a credit card gives you a added layer of protection if the merchant fails to perform. And if only want to cancel the order, do it in writing either by fax for certified mail.
