Whitney Schiffman Dumb, COLD & RUDE eBay seller left nasty reply for no reason! Christianburg, Virginia
I encountered a rude seller when requesting contact information. I requested the information because sellers don't always get back in time when eBay auctions end thus I miss out on the item. Asking them on the phone is a faster way. But this was the seller's email:
"Why would you request my information , or transaction is complete , I will be contacting ebay fraud department !!!!!"
This is a perfect example of why a lot of eBay sellers are very nasty people. They only care about money. Some seem to have families but who knows if it's dysfunctional or not the way they treat their customers. So of course when she was rude I was rude. I got a reported email back and a nasty follow-up on my feedback saying I had bought her item just to get her user information. Which was not true at all. I bought the item to get positive feedback up to 500 to earn my purple star. But this seller of course wouldn't reply back or anything. All goes to show that people on eBay are rude and don't care about how they treat their customers. If I was their wife or husband and found they treated people like this I'd divorce them in an instant.
Do not buy from this seller. She will only think you're buying her items to request her personal info - very paranoid - and leave you bad feedback replies.

I did not call her house 6 times. She is obviously on crack or something. Crist, married and has a 2 year old. Forget society! I called only once but that doesn't matter. The woman said she was contacting the fraud department in a very nasty way IN THE VERY 1ST EMAIL!
And I am not the one that was rude, she was! Point is I'm trying to move on from this ridiculous eBay bullsh* that is getting me nowhere in life but people keep pressing and pressing on. Stupid eBay sellers!

This guy is not telling the whole truth. He did request the contact info and called 6 times the last being 3 am and woke my 2 year old. I did ask why he requested the info as the deal was complete and I refunded the whole $0.20 thats right 20 cents. He has done this to he claims 500 other Ebay sellers this month.

RipOff?

Where is the RipOff?
While the response you posted does not appear justified. There is only one side of the story here...yours. We don't know exactly what you asked or the "tone" of your message. But it appears you were asking for their phone number after the auction ended. The reason you give makes no sense. As I don't know why a seller would not get back to you "in time" after the auction ends causing you to loose the item.
So with the various forms of fraud I can see why a person would be leary about someone who asked for their personal information. Also, in looking at the seller ratings it does not appear as if they would be trying to pull anything on you.
Perhaps if you are running into a lot of "rude" Ebay sellers, it may not be the sellers that are the ones that are rude.
