WholeNutra KeraGro Shady billing practices Aurora Internet
Wholenutra advertises and sells several products. For me, it was Keragrow. They advertise on different sites a free trial of their product. They indicate that this is a one-time charge of $4.95 for shipping only and that if you don’t like the product you simply don’t order more. However, they do have another website they provide the bank when you file a dispute. That site does say clearly that this is a 14 day trial period that if you don’t cancel they will charge you $87.47. I have screen grabs of both this website and the website that I had originally been directed to.
I was on Facebook and Keragro was advertised as a product that had been on ‘SharkTank’ (which was false). I clicked on the link and it took me to website and it took me to a totally different site, not their main website that I went to after having billing issues. This notation of an $87 charge if not canceled within 14 days was hidden from view in light gray writing near the bottom of the page. I ordered the product on 9/22 and was charged on 9/22. The product arrived that Thursday, 9/25.
On 10/3 I was charged $87. I called the customer service number to see what had happened and they were incredibly rude. The first lady canceled my “upcoming order” of another $87 bottle ,which I had not ordered, and then she hung up on me. I started to do research and that’s when I realized that I had been in the middle of a “14 day trial” not just a single order of one bottle as I had been led to believe.
I was relived to realize that I was only on day 11 of my “free” 14 day trial. I called the company back again and got another incredibly rude woman. She stated that I needed to read the “terms and conditions” and then I was hung up on again. I didn’t even have the chance to cancel my “trial” and return unused product. So I called again, sat on hold for 20 minutes, refused to give any information to the gentleman on the phone and asked for a supervisor. I was told it would be a 30-45 minute wait. So I waited on hold for a supervisor. When the supervisor got on the phone, I started to explain that I wanted to cancel and return my trail offer and she cut me off, told me to read the terms and conditions and hung up on me as I started to talk. Each time I tried to call and cancel my free trail to get a RMA (return authorization) I was hung up on. I finally started working with my bank instead of WholeNutra.
This company is currently rated as "F" by the BBB. I have also filed a compliant with the FTC. I won't stop there. I will keep filing complaints until KeraGro resloves its shady practices.
