Wholesale Arts and Frames wholesaleartsframes.com Violated Terms of Service, specifically Production and Delivery Time North Hollywood California

After careful consideration and given assurances by the company, I placed an order for one (1) custom canvas-wrapped print, and paid in full. This was an Internet order. According to their terms, Standard Production time is stated as approximately 4-7 weeks. I placed my order on June 5, 2014. Based on extensive experience with other online orders, I believed it possible that my order would be completed and shipped within four (4) weeks, at the most, especially since I never received an email from them stating there was a problem with the file I submitted. Also, reputable companies love delivering ahead of expectations, hoping to secure a good repeat customer. NOT THIS ONE!

I copied this just now while composing this report:

Order Status

The status of your recent orders is shown below. Click 'View Order' to see complete details.

  • Order #40430

    Order Date: 5th Jun 2014

This order is marked as Awaiting Shipment

    Your Order Contains:
    • 1 x 100% Cotton: 1-1/2" DEEP Giclee Print+Gallery Stretching: 18X24
(Production Time: Standard (Approximatley 4-7 Weeks)

I have contacted them on more than one occasion, including email, phone to customer service, and on their web site. I expressed my concerns via email on June 26, 2014, as follows:

"My order status states "awaiting shipment." Does that mean it has been completed and set for shipment or something else?  This is a test/sample order because I would like to sell my art. My major concern, at this point, is if your company farms out orders overseas which would explain the length of time to complete and ship. If so, this could present a serious problem with my ability to sell my work."

Their response dated the same day:

"Hi and thank you for writing.

The order is still in the production. You choose the production of 4-7 weeks.  Once it's done we'll ship and email you your tracking number.
Let us know if you have further questions.

THANKS."

As you can see, I was told my order was "still in the production." (Most likely not someone whose first language is English.) Also, as of June 26, my order status was "Awaiting Shipment" and not "In Production." When I contacted them through their web site on July 15th, I never received a response.

I did call their customer service line and was confronted with a very arrogant, snooty rep, who could do no more than robotically repeat the same, saying my order was still in production and the excuse was that I chose standard and not expedited. (The expedited charges were ridiculously high.)

This is a warning to avoid this company! They are not reliable or honest, and their claim to have the lowest prices has given them the right to provide horrible customer service!!!

They take your money and do NOT deliver, according to their terms of service.

I am now fearful that my order will be well below par, and not good enough to sell, as was my hope.
