The last week of December, 2005, I spoke with a man named Elwon at Wholesale Marketer. I wanted to sell drop ship goods on EBAY. Elwon repeatedly underlined his company's favored position with EBAY-a company I respect.

He stated that Wholesale Marketer is the ONLY CERTIFIED EBAY company. Trusting EBAY, and after Elwon decieved me into thinking I had to pay for 1 year of his company's services IN ADVANCE, I AGREED TO PAY $225.00 for Elwon's GLOWING portrayal of his companies relationship with EBAY and what his ONLY TRUSTED company could do for me.

I told him I wanted to wait until Jan.6,2006 because I was going to sell the note on a property I had recently sold. On Jan.5,2006, I sent TWO (2) emails to Wholesale Marketer stating I did not want their services and did not want the money withdrawn from my account.

On Jan.6,2006, Elwon put a charge of 225.00 on my credit card. I happened to look on my bank account and saw this. I immediately called the company and spoke with another man in sales. Elwon's answering machine was on. I told this man what had happened and he said that "I could only cancel by calling-not email."

I became angry and said I was cancelling and that I had legally told the company I didn't want their services. He said he would tell the billing department. I then called the billing department and spoke with a woman named Megan. I told her that the man I had just spoken with had told me the money would not be taken from my account.

Megan replied to this that "they already had the money". I told her I did not want the service and told her I wanted it put back on my card. She said Elwon would have to "take care of that". I called Elwon, this time he answered. He said I didn't need to worry, he would go and "take care of that."

On Saturday, Jan.7, 2006, I called my bank and told a man working there what had happened. He said that the bill had not gone through and that it was a preauthorization only. I checked my bank account on Monday Jan.9,2006, and saw that the bill had gone through. Furious, I called Wholesale Marketer and demanded a refund.

Margery from billing called me back and and had a 3 way phone call with my bank (Umpqua Bank, Eureka, CA.) and stated that she was unable to put the money back onto my accountafter having tried "FOUR TIMES." The bank representative was reluctant to believe Margery's story as she had worked for banks for many years and had never heard of such a thing.

I was told on Jan. 9, 2006 that Elwon had been FIRED FOR FRAUD. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (#64) and emailed the college at which the company's webpage states owner JEREMY HANKS is employed. The college sent an email back to me stating"JEREMY HANKS IS NOT EMPLOYED AT U.V.S.C.."

AS IF BY MIRACLE, I received an email from Margery in billing, stating that she now was able to refund my money. COPIES OF ALL EMAILS ARE ON MY COMPUTER. Today is
Jan. 13, 2006 and the money has still not been refunded to my account.

I came back to this site to read more of Clark Winegar's fiction.
Anyone not yet understanding the difference between WHOLESALE
and MIDDLEMEN really needs to read his comments. It is the textbook difference between FICTION (Clark Winegar) and NON-
FICTION.

Clark Winegar is in charge of PUBLIC Relations for Wholesale Mark-
eter. HA HA HA.

Clark Winegar, made the statement that his company values their relationship with the Better Business Bureau. I just received an email from the Better Business Bureau RE:Wholesale Marketer. Because the money was , in fact, returned to me-unlike others who made up the said 64 complaints-I am dropping the issue with the Better Business Bureau.

A question anyone might have for Clark Winegar, Director of Marketing, Better Business Bureau, would be the following: WHY weren't those problems resolved before all 64 people felt a need to
go to the BBB? The Better Business Bureau is the last resort before filing legal action. Because Wholesale Marketer is located in Utah and the compainants would have to obtain legal council, fly to Utah, wait in Utah, etc., the burden is clearly on the complainant.

I do not believe for an instant that Wholesale Marketer is a true wholesale marketer, that their customer relations are completely honest or that many others haven't experianced problems with their customer relations department.

Comapny Response

#8UPDATE Employee

Beverly was contacted by Elwon on 12/27/05 at 12:30pm. During this initial call Beverly agreed to have her account automatically upgraded to an annual subscription on January 6, 2006. On January 9, 2006 at 4:00pm Beverly called and canceled her subscription. At this time Wholesale Marketer canceled and fully refunded Beverly's account. With that action all the documentation was sent directly over to Beverly's bank. There was nothing further we could do to speed up this process. Credit card transactions can take a few days to process. Ever notice that when you buy something with your credit card, it usually doesn't show up on your account for a few days? Ever hear phrases like please allow 3-5 days for processing? That's because it isn't always instantaneous.

We regret that her account was not credited as quickly as she would have liked; however, we proceeded swiftly with our part of the process. On January 13, 2006 at 2:08pm Beverly called asking where her money was. We once again informed her that we had already processed the refund on our side and there was nothing further that we could do. Before Beverly hung up she said she was going to file a report on ripoffreport. It is too bad that she decided to take this action after we did all we could. And as she states in her follow-up ripoffreport she received her credit on the same day she filed this report. So in the end, her post on ripoffreport had absolutely no bearing on our decision. Like I have stated in other postings we strive to provide world class products and customer service on every interaction with our valued customers; however, no one person or company that we know of is perfect.

The misunderstanding in this case was that she replied to training email that comes from an automated system to all new members. The email did not reach our call center representative and so he had no idea Beverly had changed her mind about the membership. We will try to make it clearer in these emails that they are no reply emails, and inquiries need to directed to our support team.

Additionally, Wholesale Marketer is the only drop shipper that is an eBay Certified Service Provider. We never claim to be the only certified service provider, but our claim to be the only company that does what we do and is also a certified provider could be misunderstood. Please feel free to browse this list of eBay certified companies http://developer.ebay.com/certifiedprovider/catalog.aspx. You will notice that the only drop shipper on this list is indeed Wholesale Marketer.

Elwon was not fired for fraud. Elwon is an excellent employee and still works here. In an effort to ensure all employees are treating customers fairly and honestly we do regular trainings and call monitoring.

Yes, we are a proud member of the Salt Lake City BBB. Feel free to click on this link to see that we are, in fact, a good standing member with the BBB http://www.saltlakecity.bbb.org/commonreport.html?bid=5002299 As you can see we have resolved all complaints filed against us to the satisfaction of our valued customer as well as the BBB. It is unfortunate that the BBB can only report on customer complaints and not satisfied customers. When dealing with the number of customers that we do, misunderstandings and/or mistakes are inevitable; however, we will always strive to make everything rightas we did with Beverly.

Finally, Jeremy Hanks was an instructor at UVSC through the US Government Small Business Development center that resides at that college. The page she read has not been updated recently (though we'll be sure to update it now). The site should say that he served' as an instructor, not currently serves.

Sincerely,

Clark Winegar

WHOLESALE MARKETER RELENTS AND PAYS UP

Sun, January 15, 2006

THANKS to Ripoffreport.com, the Better Business Bureau, and an email to the college that part owner JEREMY HANKS advertises teaching at (according to an email I received from Utah Valley State College JEREMY HANKS is not even employed there), I received a refund on Jan. 13, 2006 for $225.00.

Having read the reports about this company on this site, (the Better Business Bureau did not make its 64+ complaints against the company public) I am convinced that a CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT should be brought against it and that the members of the class WILL PREVAIL. I have all my documentation ready.
