Wholesale Window Club - Ebay ripoff Took the money No windows no returned phone calls, promised refund NO REFUND Chicago Illinois

This company appeared on Ebay and had no negative feedback (that I could find). I Contacted the Chicago Business Lic. dept and they were licensed. Charles Cameron is the Account holder. I sent my money $2494.05 (of which came from refinancing my home) and was told it would be 6 weeks to get he windows (as opposed to 21 day leadtime as advertised). Ten weeks later no windows. No returned phone calls! Finally after calling Silverline (the manufacturer of the window in New Jersey) I got a call back.

They decided they do not want to do business with me. On Wednesday Sept 15th, 2004 I was told that by Friday Sept 17th my money would be returned to my card.
Today...No money on card, No answer at Wholesale Window Club, no answer from Dan Thomson (sales rep) 773 -313-1183, Not even a return call from the OWNER Charles Cameron 773 718-2106.

I have financed my home to improve it and now here comes winter and I have partially disassembled windows stuck in the beginning stages of re-siding.

I am stuck out in the cold here. How do some people sleep at night? Obviously we will need sleeping bags and indoor campfires this winter

Finally!! Neither cheerfully, nor promptly, but finally my refund has been recieved...

ONE DAY AFTER the new windows I ordered (from another company) arrived. I have done a lot of internet purchases but these guys scared me. Answering machines, unreturned phone calls, incomplete and non-committal answers (when you do happen to get to talk to real person). My wife is scared to death to even think about buying anything else off of the internet now. They may have had satisfied customers in the past and may again in the future...but I will never be one of them. Oh and by the way it was TODAY Sept 28th that we physically got our money back.

As of Sept.20th 2004, I have been contacted Dan Thomson at Wholesale Window Club and he claims that I will recieve my refund by Sept. 24, 2004.
