I cannot comment on the already existing complaint against Larry and Kansas Painting Solutions, however Larry was referred to me by a mutual friend so I did not think I needed to check into his background. Had I done so, I would have never used him. Larry and Sara Creason were doing business as Wichita Repaints and in late June 2014 contracted with me for interior painting of my home, which should have take 3-4 days at most. Larry talked a great talk and made grand promises of things he would do that would help me in selling my home. Promises both in the contract and through text, email, and verbal conversations. I paid Larry a sizeable deposit, and then on July 3rd he asked for the remainder so he could bring in additional workers to complete the job that night so we could do open houses that weekend. I have copies of all the emails and texts to substantiate my complaint

Needless to say the work was not completed and Larry worked sporadicaly the next week doing very little work each day. The last day I saw him at my house was July 11th, at which time he said it would be completed by the following Monday, which it was not.

Since that day he has not returned my calls, texts, or emails until I received an email in late July apologizing and stating that the work would be completed by August 2nd, and he would follow up with me on August 4th, which he never did.

Only about a quarter of the work contracted was completed. The work he did do was sloppy and will need to be redone and because of his actions, he has made it even harder for me to sell my home given my current financial situation because I cannot afford to pay another painter to complete hi work. He has avoided my attempts to contact him as well as Facebook, so I know he knows I am trying to resolve this before taking him to court.

I expect the job to be completed or to receive my money back so I can pay someone to fix and finish his work. I understand if something came up that pulled him off the jobsite as he stated in an email, however; that cannot be the truth because of the lack of communication and follow up after that email.

It sounds like he has made this a habit of cheating people and he needs to be held accountable for his actions
