Wilcac Life Insurance Company Massachusetts General Life, I overpaid on premiums to avoid cancellation of a policy in place on my mother since August 19, 1990 Jacksonville Illinois
I am been paying excess premiums on my life insurance policy to avoid cancellation and other problems. This was done because I received threatening letters that my account would be cancelled and trying to get account information via them is next to impossible. The last statement received from them was May, 2019 showing a positive accumulation value. I have called their customer service over a dozen times requesting information and help in reducing my monthly premium based on current accumulation value. Customer Service assured me account was current and that they would provide me with information needed to adjust my account. This never happened and they provided no help and left me in the dark
My mother recently died and Wilcac will be sending me the death benefit but I am losing all over payments since the accumulation value stays with them (per contract). This does not seem right and the insurance company gets the over payments. I should have been more persisitent and pushy and maybe waited and only paid extra when they threatened again. Poor judgement and management on my part too.
WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH - Customer Service personnel are poorly trained and unable to help you with more complex questions. I tried talking to senior personnel and management but could not get past customer service.
