I booked a wildlife tour through WPA, who advertise Nat Geo ratings on their website. The cost of the tour ended up being 60% more than originally quoted and was nearly $17000 for 10 days.
Several inconsistencies and dishonest dealings It turns out the tour they steered me to (different from my original request) was off season with our experiencing no wildlife and innumerable mosquitoes.
Their tour guides were not able to communicate well in English. The accommodations were third rate as well with non functioning facilities. We were charged extra for traveling alone but actually joined a group for much of the tour with no discount applied.
The worst part was they messed up my booked travel in such a way that i ended up missing an international connection and was left stranded in a foreign country with my young child! When I called to ask for help, they were unresponsive and charged me an extra several thousands to get home. You are better off traveling on your own than thru this agency.
