Complaint Review: WildAboutMovies.com

I entered a contest at wildaboutmovies.com because I thought they had a good unsubscribe policy. They say right on the entry form that unsubscribing will take you out of all contests and promotions. That sounds fair, right?

I finally decided I wanted to get off their list because every time I came to their site they had that "registry cleaner" pop-up that you can't get rid of unless you click on it. I know enough not to click anywhere on it so I had to logoff every time I was finished at their site. I decided that any reputable company wouldn't have that pop-up so I went to remove my name.

The owner replied to my email saying that unsubcribing wasn't an option and that I should be thanking him for being on his list! I was pretty upset and sent him some colorful emails in return and he continued to insult me as well. Finally he told me that he didn't like my attitude and would take me off the list so someone who deserved his emails would get them. Hahaha! I should have thanked him for giving me what I wanted all along but decided to let it go and come here to give my report. :)
