I leased a Jauguar X type in 2004, returned it recently on time and according to policies. The inspection for final drop off was signed off and no alerts or items of concerns were brought up verbally or in writting. 1 month later I received a final invoice expecting only a final termination fee of $ 349 but was absolutely surprised to see the bill for over $ 1400. I rapidly contacted the lease company and was presented the bill as follows:

2 mismatched tires (ie: not the original brand that the car came with) I explained that the original tires did not make the original warranty as stated were they defective?, so I purchased new ones of equal value and of brand status. That was not good enough.
$ 375
Extra Miles $ 900.
Standard Termination Fee.

I have no problem paying the std termination fee, but the milage is in dispute. I have one document signed at the time of lease stating 10,000 miles per year but the contract was never chnaged from the original 25k miles (default) for the life of the lease. I discussed this admin glitch and provided them with proof of signature approving the additional miles. Their answer was we go by the contract and not any other documents even though the other documents are signed by managers and are part of the contract overall.

Salesman tells me I will remove all charges if you buy another car. I said I am not interested at this time please remove such improper charges, he said sorry buy or get nothing. (unfair trade practices)

In my opinion I feel that they misrepresented during and after the sale and used sales as a bait to remove all charges or pay up. I will never buy from them again and purchased a GM caddilac this time and I am very happy with my new acquisition and service. I have disputed these current charges asking them to do the right thing, but I have no hope or faith in such large dealers. It's easier for them to pass it on and write it off as bad debt (that is if I dont pay) then to reduce their revenues.

In my opinion DONT BUY AND DONT SIGN ANY DOCUMENTS with WILDE JAGUAR, they offer very poor service and their sales tactics are questionable.
