We ordered a custom sign for our home in Sept 2008 at the Mountain Heritage Craft Show in Harpers Ferry, WV.  It took over the 12 weeks to finally receive it.

When we got it, we thought it was ok, and hung it on the house.  Within 5-6 months apporox. all the varnish and paint was peeling off down to the bare wood. 

We sent several emails trying to contact the owner/George and he finally responded stating that the wood must not have been kiln dried enough and to return it for replacement.  He would not refund our money.

I returned the sign, and the tracking information shows that he received it.  It cost me $17 to ship it, and I told him that I wanted that money also refunded since it was his faulty product.

That was at the end of June.  We have sent numerous emails and made countless phonecalls trying to reach him and find out the status of our sign.  He will not respond to anything.  Right now, all we can do it post this warning to anyone else who goes to a craft show and tries to order a product.

I can say, though if you paid with a credit card you legally have 18 months to dispute a charge (chargeback) even though your bank may not want to, given the length of time I know we are going to try to get our money back that way.  Keep all your documentation, as you may need to produce proof that you tried to work it out with the vendor.

 

BUYER BEWARE - this is a terrible company to do business with!
