Due to the high price of gasoline these days, I needed something smaller and easier on gas than the 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe I was driving. I first went to the dealership where I purchased that car, but did not find anything I liked. I then went to Wilkes-Barre Dodge. I found a car I liked and purchased it. That is when the nightmare began.

I first began getting phone calls from the company that financed the Santa Fe asking where their payment was. When I informed them that the car had been traded, they said they had received no payoff from Wilkes-Barre Dodge. These calls contined for almost one month. I called Wilkes-Barre Dodge many times about this and was told that the deal "wasn't funded" yet and there was nothing to worry about. Then I got a call from the finance company stating that if I did not make a payment by the next day, it would show up on my credit report. I then called Wilkes-Barre Dodge, who had every excuse in the book. I told them they could have their Caliber back and I wanted my Santa Fe.

When I brought the car back the next day, they did give me my Santa Fe back. They also gave me a bill for $768.00! The said they had to inspect it, do an oil change and put on 4 new tires. The car was a 2007 with only 14,000 miles on it. The tires were fine and the oil had been changed 3 days before it was traded. They deducted this bill from what I had paid down on the Caliber, so I had no choice.

I thought I was safe with Wilkes-Barre Dodge because it was in the Rosado Group, the same as Dickson City Hyundai which was where I bought the Santa Fe. I did not have much trouble with that transaction.

What they did to me was not right. Then, to add insult to injury, three weeks after I returned the Caliber, I received a letter from Wilkes-Barre Dodge thanking me for my purchase!
