The scam starts off like this:  The two nice "Eaton" brothers ring your bell and tell you that they just poured a driveway a couple of blocks down and they have leftover asphalt.  They noticed the cracks in my driveway and asked if I would like them to fill the cracks for $5 each each...I say sure thinking that the job would be less than $200 as I showed him the few cracks I wanted filled.  I move the cars out of the driveway and then shortly after I see him and his crew dumping asphalt all over my driveway and a steam roller pulling up.  I flip my lid and ask him what he's doing and that this is not what I agreed to and I can't afford what he's doing.  He tells me that he is going to take care of me and not to worry about the cost...all the while his crew is still working.  He finishes the half-fast job and tells me and my 77 year old husband that its going to be $4,500.  I almost started to cry - I don't have that kind of money.  He said that he would bring it down to $3,500.  I told him that I tried stopping him and that I stated I couldn't afford a new driveway.  He got angry and said that he had 5 guys working on my driveway and didn't I at least think that each of them deserved a $100 tip.  I was flabbergasted.  He then lowered the bill to $2,900 and at that point I was scared of him and wanted him out of my kitchen.  I agreed to write him a check but asked him not to cash it for 24 hours as I would have to deposit money to cover the check.  The driveway soon started to crumble at the edges within a week and when my husband called him to ask him to repair it, William Eaton said "how much did you pay me for that driveway??" and then hung up on my husband.  This guy is a scam artist and he is preying on seniors - DO NOT LET HIM ON YOUR PROPERTY
