I purchased a new Chevrolet Silverado 1550, basic model, from this dealership. The owner was a friend of mine, or so I believed.

I had exactly $20,000 budgeted for my new vehicle. I am a single mom with limited income.I chose this dealership because I have very little knowledge or experience in this area, and given my friend was part owner I felt confident I would be given a fair deal.

I chose a truck with a huge sale sign reading $20,000 plus $2,000 rebate, leading me to believe it would be $18,000 plus taxes etc.

However, I was informed the $2,000 had already been deducted. I explained I had only $20,000, and Chappy and

I made a verbal agreement that I could purchase the truck for this amount.

When I returned a few days later with $9,000 downpayment, the finance manager, Sherri Hewett, began drawing up the contract.

I saw the price begin to sky rocket and advised her of Chappys agreement and told her I was not comfortable with this and I would return the next day with my boyfriend, because I did not understand any of what she was explaining. I repeated numerous times that I was anxious and confused, and wished to return the next day to complete the transaction. She replied "You have already driven out here, why don't you complete the paperwork
now and then it will be ready tomarrow and be quick and easy to finish the deal." Reluctantly I agreed.

When the paperwork was complete I began walkin back to my car when she called out,"Why don't you drive the truck home you just bought it." I was floored. She had just tricked me into signing and buying the truck. I cried the whole way home. When I got home and was finally able to study the contract, void and distraction or unneccessay verviage being thrown at me I discovered they had lied, mislead, and basically screwed me in every possible way they could.

My $20,000 truck was now over $26,000. I was charge for a free bedliner, $298.00, even though I was in possession of the paperwork that documented I was to receive it for free. The $2,000 rebate was used as part of the down payment, instead of being deducted from the price of the truck.

I was charge 20.99% APR, even though the signs everywhere advertised 1.5% APR. I could continue with several other examples of how they ripped me off, but I think this is enough to clearly show what kind of dealership they run.

After complaining to Chappy about the deception, he agreed that he had told me I could have the truck for $20,000, but they always charge the sticker price. He admits to making the verbal agreement, but said it's my fault for being stupid enough to sign the papers.

When I explained Ms. Hewett had lied and I was
misled into believing the final deal was not to be completed until the following day, his response was, well you signed the papers.

This dealership preys on women, making promises and deals only to trick them into signing papers that in no way honor thier verbal agreements. Their sales practices are unethical and I am sure illegal.

After sending the letter to Chappy along with a mailing list of

business and appropriate consumer advocate groups we intended to

send the letter to, we were contacted immediately by Chappy Morris.

We met with Chappy and were astonished at his blatant disregard for the law. He openly admitted to telling me that he

would sell the car to me for under $20,000. He also admitted that the sign on the truck advertised the truck for $2o,ooo plus

a $2,000 rebate, but then stated they never go by anything but the sticker price.

He agreed to correct and refund my money in regards to the bedliner and the extended warranty. Given he didn't have much choice, since I had documents given to me by their dealership stating I was to recieve the bedliner free of charge and I could

cancel the warranty at any time without penalty. In otherwords he only returned the money that was blatantly illegal. Although he admits to agreeing to sell me the truck for $20,000, but instead charged me over $26,000, the best he could do was knock off two hundred dollars. He explained the other mistakes were in

black and white, while these areas were kinda grey.

He then decided to try and honor the $1,000 voucher by rewriting the original contract to include the $1,000 in with the

$2,000 rebate without my consent or signature, even though the

gentleman at the Chevrolet headquarters told him, on speakerphone, that he would be committing fraud. He sent the new contract in, minus the signatures and obviously it was returned. Now, he wants me to sign the contract, and therefor, also be guilty of committing fraud, as well as a contract stating

I will not send out the letters. My response: I will not commit fraud and you can keep you indignant offer of $200. The letters are going out and he can kiss my ----.

Dear Jana, I am very sorry as to what this crappy car dealer has done to you.

I at one time sold cars for a living and Boy did I learn about how dirty a car dealer can be.

At one time A sales manager told me to NEVER SELL to a friend, Family member of my next door neighbor unless I went real DEEP into their pocket.

He said it is real easy to Rip Off a car buyer if you have them in "Their comfort ZONE" He said if you have a car buyer in Their Comfort zone you can have your way with them.

He told me that if your friend, Family member or next door neightbor has a problem with their car, That they will call you before they call the dealership, so get paid for it up front.

Jana NEVER buy a car from someone that you know or from someone that you like. Doing this will prevent you from being ruthless in the negotiating process. When buying a car you need to be ruthless EVERY SECOND. You can NEVER let your guard down.

Think of it as a battle, They want your money!

All car sales people love easy prey. If they know you or they think for one second that you like them, They will rip you a new one.

Jana You ever have a colonoscopy? Well let me tell you that your Doctor has never gone as deep with an oscopy scope like your so called Friendly car salesman will go.

Trust me if they think you like them, They have the bosses permission to go deeper then a well digger would think to go.

NEVER TRUST a car salesman, If their lipps are moving while they are talking, they are trying to RIP YOU A NEW and MUCH BIGGER A-HOLE.

I tell car buyers to buy from a salesperson that Smells real bad, or one that is real ugly or one that you would like to kick their a*s. This is a good way to stand your ground. You can never be afraid to anger a car dealer's sales staff.

What I am telling you is to BE RUTHLESS EVERY SECOND!

By the way you might want to send a copy of Your Rip Off report to
