William Y McKee, MD - Evergreen Medical Group Poor Staff Service Almost Killed Valued Patient Waiting 6 hours to Go to Emergency Sammamish Washington
An emergency room visit was postponed waiting on a telephone call from Dr. William Mckee and did come 6 hours later after my wife was hauled away by an ambulance. When the phone at his local office was not answering at 1:10PM, I went in person to decribe the situation. Wanda, the office staff, was annoyed her lunch was interrupted and listened like a McDonalds counter clerk with a faded expression. I checked in and asked do you understand what I am saying? My wife is holding off going to the emergency room (2nd time in this same week) and needed to talk with Dr Mckee. She said she really understood and give her the note after seeing his (paying - I injected this) clients.
One and half hours later I called and spoke to Wanda a second time. She swore that she would hand-deliver this note with urgency after he was done seeing his (paying - I injected this) clients, By third call one more hour later, Wanda now lies and said she never understood that it was emergency.
Who is the poor service? Dr. Mckee for not getting to my wife's emergency or was it just poor or covering up the Doctor's poor service by the staff person Wanda? I do not and will never know. At this point I say they are negligent and should pay for the added cost of ambulance that is now on the way. Another nurse tells me Oh NO! not us we are not at fault, the Doctor will talk with only her now (as she is close to death) and not you.
At this point my wife is literally speechless and unable to talk at all. The ambulance arrives 10 minutes later. OH YES! Dr. Mckee gladly calls (to cover his butt) a half hour after the ambulance leaves at 4:30pm. My wife had suffered since 10:00am in the morning.
OH Yes, is not over today we go to a specialist (that Dr. Mckee never suggested) to examine her. She is still sick and may end up in the emergency room again this week.
Dr. Mckee in my opinion has either a poor staff or a staff that is covering up for his negligence. Now that I think of it, my wife's mother another past patient of Dr. Mckee died from an illness that she had untreated (I suspect undiagnosed) for 3 years before the hospital declared her dead.
Is there a limit in the medical field for medical homicide? I do not know and I am not a lawyer. Is there anything patients can do with such bad service?
Like any other service profession like a plumber, they can be replaced....
